FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
University
Professors, Gary Flanigan and Luther G. Williams, Say Numbers Prove
Bible's Divine Authorship, through their book, 111: The Media War Between Jesus
Christ and Satan
Atl., July 1, 2008 - In their new book, 111: The
Media War Between Jesus Christ and Satan,
university professors, Gary Flanigan and Luther G. Williams, argue that
the Bible’s pervasive use of numbers provides conclusive
evidence
of God’s fingerprint.
“'I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
end' is one of the most well known quotes in the book of
Revelation,” maintains co-author Gary
Flanigan. “Since
the book of Revelation was originally written in Greek and Greek is an
alphanumeric language meaning alpha is the same as one, and omega is
the same as 800, isn’t it also the Revelation of Jesus that
He’s a 1-800 number?”
The
authors go even further by pointing to the number 46 which figured
prominently in the court trial and crucifixion of Jesus
Christ.
When Jesus said, “Destroy this temple and in three days
I’ll raise it up,”
the 46 years it physically took to construct the Jerusalem Temple is
also the same number of chromosomes (46) genetically required to
physically construct the human body. Maintaining that first
century understanding of human DNA structuring was beyond the scope of
mere human intelligence, Flanigan and Williams force a biblical view of
either sheer coincidence, or an acknowledgment of divine design in
terms of the Bible’s origin.
Satan’s predominating spiritual influence on the electronic
media, however, is the book’s main focus. “The media is the
method in the madness," is 111’s
recurring theme. According to Flanigan and Williams, a typical
child by the age of 12 has witnessed more than 100,000 television and
film murders, assaults, thefts, adulteries, and abusive relationships
making every viewer of vice, as so-called entertainment, an unwitting
participant in their own spiritual oppression and bondage.
Based
on that premise, the book makes a persuasive case that Satan is not
referred to as the “prince of the power of the air”
in a
vacuum. According to the two HBCU professors, the fact that
one of
the temptations of Christ found Jesus being shown all the kingdoms of
the world in a moment of time suggests a wireless television or
internet/webcast technology.
“By use of a TV
remote control or PC notebook touch pad, we are also able to see all
the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. What we
don’t see is a twenty-first century technology in that first
century statement,” says Gary Flanigan.
Dr.
Flanigan furthers, “We
forget neither God nor Satan is constrained by time and
technology. When the devil told Jesus, ‘all this
power is
given unto me,’ the power being referred to was and continues
to
be the devil’s power to manipulate the air waves through
which
television, radio, and other wireless signals transmit the fruits of a
satanic spirit.”
The authors hold this is why the Bible admonishes not to marvel if
Satan is transformed into an “angel
of light.”
Television, radio, and wireless technologies are all dynamic functions
of light wave transformations. And, borrowing from a popular
TV
show, if we are indeed as smart as a fifth grader, we remember from
elementary school that those TV light wave transformations are simply
called proton and electron conversions.
From Hollywood and TV news, to cloning, stem cell research, and UFO
phenomena, 111
is
decisive in approach that the electronic media is the devil's primetime
weapon of mass destruction. Using incisive writing laced with
poignant detail, 111: The
Media War Between Jesus Christ and Satan
is both educational and conversational as contemporary allusions and
laymen's terms are offered to help readers grasp the Holy Bible not as
old or new, but as a Current Testament.
Gary Flanigan is
a University of Kansas graduate and media law professor with past
associations that include faculty and administrative positions at the
University of Kansas, John Marshall Law School (Atlanta), Clark Atlanta
University, North Carolina A&T State University, the University
of
Maryland Eastern Shore, and Grambling State University. He
has
also been published in the National Lawyer’s Association
Review
(NLA) as a non-attorney.
Luther G. Williams
is a Bible prophecy writer, biblical numerics research specialist, and
founder of the field of “theoacoustics”
(translating the
Bible into sound waves). He has taught at the University of
New
Orleans, Xavier University of Louisiana, and Clark Atlanta University
with his academic research focusing principally on music as
communication. Dr. Williams is a marketing consultant,
accomplished pianist, and exponent of Harlem Stride Piano.
