Atl.,
March 27, 2008 – Men, are you confused and struggling with what it
means to be a real man? Ladies, do you misunderstand the men in your
life? If so, let Frank Chase, Jr., through his book, False Roads to Manhood: What Women Need to Know, What Men Need to Understand, dispel the myths about what it means to be a man.
Chase
provides insightful information that explains the struggles men have
faced down through the years, which have clouded their understanding of
what a man is and what a man should be. Chase delves into the inner
emotions of men and presents the feelings that men have in a clear and
understandable way. False Roads to Manhood is a moral
roadmap that is filled with valuable life lessons that are grounded in
the Word of God, to help men heal and “break free” to be who God would
have them to be. In this book, Chase relates to us real life issues
with easy to follow solutions.
Chase
presents six stages of manhood which are all backed by Scripture.
Throughout these six stages, he challenges men to tear down and crumble
the walls that prevent them from reaching real manhood. These walls
include: respect, truancy, rejection, anger, discouragement, ignorance,
incarceration, and other things that can hinder men from reaching their
God-given potential.
Here is what others are already saying about False Roads to Manhood:
“We need not look far to see the repercussions of sons and daughters growing up without fathers, or grown girls grappling in marriages to grown boys, both searching for their fathers, or a semblance of a father, for affirmation of themselves. For every man and woman in search of themselves, the lost, given away, taken away, or abandoned parts of themselves should stop everything they are doing, hole up in a quiet place with “False Roads…”, read it and re-read it word for word, from cover to cover. You will emerge a new person. In this painfully good work, Frank reminds us all of the redemptive power of the Cross. Frank becomes vulnerable, stripping himself of male egotism and pride’s false coverings, revealing true manhood, imploring both men and women alike to lay down their burdens of brokenness, shed their cloaks of guilt and shame and rise up from the ashes in the beauty of wholeness and the beauty of holiness.”

"Frank
Chase Jr. is not afraid to tell the truth as a man. What's more, he
does it not with a vengeance to judge but a passion to heal. With his
own life story of brokenness and deliverance as a backdrop, he offers
this well-researched, biblically based blueprint to free "incarcerated
souls" of men. His message to men is compelling: face your crippling
father-wound, build honest relationships with other men, and take your
shame to Jesus for your true Father's healing love. Chase goes to the
roots. Reading this will shake your tree as a man--but much fruit will
fall."
