Powerful New Book, Man Up! No Excuses--Do the Work!,
by Demitri C. Kornegay Addresses Serious Issues
that Young Black Men and their Parents Face

ATL, Finally the prayers of that single mother, who has been desperately searching for a guidebook for her son on how to grow into a strong man, have been answered. Author, Demitri Kornegay, through his book, Man Up! No Excuses--Do the Work!, has answered the many questions and concerns mothers have about the proper raising of their sons, especially when the father is not around.

Mr. Kornegay, a 25 year veteran with the Montgomery County, Maryland Police Department, boldly provides invaluable advice and information to young men on such matters of concern as: the importance of knowing your history, peer pressure, racism, handling disappointment, when you should fight, the “N” word, love, marriage, the importance of fatherhood, money and much more. Man Up! No Excuses--Do the Work! is special because it is a series of letters written from the heart of a father to a son. There is even a hilarious letter on dating.
