FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Join Raney & Carla Antoine In Making a Difference in Their Community Through the New Life Youth and Senior Center
ATLANTA,
(September 10, 2008)
- Raney
M. Antoine saw a need in his community of St. Charles Parish, Louisiana.
In order to fulfill that need, he and his wife, Carla Antoine, set out
to construct the New Life Youth and Senior Center. This
new Christ-centered Youth and Senior Center will help keep the young
people in the community off the streets and will provide a place of
recreation and care for seniors.
The new facility is equipped with an indoor swimming pool, a fitness
center, gym, theater, library, multipurpose rooms, art room, game room,
computer lab, bowling alley, coffee shop, and food court.
The mission of the New Life Youth Center
is to foster, and reinforce positive values, habits and lifestyles upon
which youth will be able to build their lives and communities. The
desired outcome is to replace trouble, difficulty, and dysfunction in
the lives of youth with the hope of God.
Some of the goals of the New Life Youth Center are:
- To encourage youth to have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
- To provide a safe environment where kids can learn and have fun.
- To provide a positive peer culture encouraging mature attitudes.
- To model and teach a moral value system that profits the youth as well as fellow members of the community.
The mission of the New Life Senior Center is
to provide life-enhancing, enriching, and sustaining services, that
have a positive impact on older adults' physical, mental and social
well-being.
Some of the goals of the New Life Senior Center are:
- To encourage seniors to have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
- To provide a safe environment and enjoyable activities.
- To provide seniors with an opportunity to re-discover, develop, and use their unique talents and gifts.
- To provide healthful eating and physical activity programs to prevent and control obesity and other chronic diseases
Realizing that finding the time to care for an aging family member can
be overwhelming, the center also provides an Adult Daycare Service. Its
mission is: (1) To provide older adults with social and some health
services as an alternative to nursing home placement with the goal of
improving a person's ability to remain independent, and (2) To afford
caregivers respite from the often-demanding responsibilities of
care-giving. Supporters of the New Life Youth and Senior Center believe that if needed resources are made available, older adults are fully capable of managing their own lives.
Join Raney Antoine, Carla Antoine, and others in fulfilling their vision to see the New Life Youth and Senior Center become a reality and thus in making their community a better place for young people, seniors, and everyone involved.
